The secrets of the Black Cancer and the angels' long-time examination of the Earthian finally come to light, and the consequences are not what anyone ever expected. Chihaya is distraught when he discovers just what Michael has been hiding from him, and becomes withdrawn. But in the end, the consequences of his relationship with Kagetsuya may prove to be even more disturbing. The angels prepare to invade Earth while Elvira and her cohort of Black Angels ready their defenses, and Chihaya and Kagetsuya must finally decide where their loyalty lies, and if it even lies with each other anymore!
Mini-review by Kellie:
There's no school like the old school! Earthian is "classic" BL manga, with sweet romance and a compelling story, and art that will make you feel nostalgic if you've been into anime and manga for more than a few years. My only complaint about this series? Well, you know that old cliched complaint about boys' love: "I can't tell if that's a boy or a girl!" It definitely applies here.
One of the things I love about these books is the format. They come in big, heavy, 400-page volumes; the covers are printed on textured, pearlescent paper; and there are color pages sprinkled throughout. If you're a paper nerd like me, you'll really feel like you got your money's worth with these books.
